About Broken window of a delapidated Sintra house. There were so many lovely houses that don't seem to be inhabited-- would love to buy one and renovate (but need to finish my primary residence first! Never ends)

I don't know why the stone is blurry--ought to be focussed as its on the same plane as the door.. sorry!

The colors, textures and depth make this a great abstract work! 7/7
That?s one good question! Why is it soft?
what was the exposure?
Did you capture this on manual mood or M/A

Omar Rifaat   {K:10135} 5/1/2005
Hi Arwa,
This is my FM2 so there only is manual mode! I don't believe in anything automatic! ;)
Its soft probably because it was just near sunset and light was low so I had to do a slow exposure (I hate flash too!) I suspect it was around 1/25 of a sec exposure.
O

Hmm sounds like someone knows what hes doing! Hehehehe :)
Then why ask the question!
I applaud you for using manual only!
thats so cool!

Somtimes I know what i'm doing; mostly I just fiddle with the knobs and hope it turns out! :)

Great capture. The thumbnail looked like it had a ghost in it, but now I realise it is the outline of the glass. Well done.

Thankyou also for your comment on my image.

great capture

Great detail shot. I don't believe the blur detracts from the whole. Sometimes, if I find a questionable element in an image, I find I get away with it by enhancing it rather than tying to hide or crop it.

hi omar,

despite the out-of-focus-thing, I like the overall abstract composing with the strong framing and the separator in the middle.

good work!

best wishes,

thilo

The stones and the window lines makes a wonderful abstract image....
