About Subject background: Chrissie, waiting in the dark. 2 mins later, the sun went down, at least there was no sun behind anymore =) The location is rather scary, a church ruin since the 16th century.

Good effort.

Paolo De Maio   {K:34166} 5/2/2005
Simply a great concept turned in PHOTO by using only shadows and lights.
Two natural frames for the same subject: one made by the wall and onother one made by the shadows on the grass of the wall
A special representation of reality turned in a dream.

A masterpiece in its semplicity.

You great Thilo

Paolo

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59796} 5/2/2005

Carmem A. Busko   {K:48763} 5/2/2005
And there she is... your favorite model... and and life partner... in another excellent composition, with original POV..
A point that i don?t if was intentional... that silver branch behind... mixed with her hair.. maybe I would have cloned.. but it?s an interesting tension poin, since it?s shadow is not on the ground..
Cheers 2u 2!!
Carmem

Roberto Carli   {K:13689} 5/2/2005
Love her shadow.......really a suggestive atmosphere,congrats!!!!!!

Stefan Engström   {K:24473} 5/2/2005
Nicely spotted - at this point you do not have much time before the light is gone... There are possibilities with significantly longer and shorter exposures here.

George Black   {K:101978} 5/2/2005
Very fine, strongly dramatic and sensitive. The shadow is superb, but I especially admire the backlighting of the figure that produced the big effect.

Best regards,
--George

Andre Denis   {K:55532} 5/3/2005
Very interesting idea Thilo,

The shadows have a life of their own! I like the way you use the portrait format and lead 2/3s up into the archway and model.

Andre

Todd Miller   {K:16461} 5/3/2005

Uwe Bachmann   {K:10222} 5/4/2005

Ursula Luschnig   {K:21809} 5/4/2005
Hi Thilo,excellent!!!! 7++++

thanks, my friend!

thilo

Omar Rifaat   {K:10135} 5/4/2005
Excellent composiion, and the large shadow somehow creates the feeling of extreme wide angle... it make an isolated, confrontational feeling with the shapr contrast and hidden view behind the wall. Very nice!

Zeev Scharf   {K:24593} 5/6/2005
Superb capture Thilo, the composition with the long shadow is excellent, great in B\W
7++++++++++
Many thanks for kind comment "Stairway to haven"

Perfect time of the day with the lighting being ideal.

Superb result :-)
