square format nice indeed

Neil Dolman   {K:26883} 5/5/2005
Hi Thilo, looks good in your Holgavision :)
Best wishes Neil

Nour El Refai   {K:13681} 5/5/2005
the angle and tilt works very well with the scene, amazing 7+

Ali Chehade   {K:759} 5/5/2005
You have very nice composition and colors, but what is really REALLY distracting are the black corners .. I dunno if you mean anything by using them ..

Mark Beltran   {K:32612} 5/5/2005
Haha, that's funny what Ali Chehade said about the black corners. In some parts, the Holga is still unknown. I don't know where the lens effects end and the PS starts. I like how the eyes reference off of the tree, and disregards the incline. But once the eyes are off the tree, the incline becomes apparent.

hi thilo!
a super holga photo!
Its even better in color!
I?ve been editing an image so that it would look like a holga
should i upload it?

George Black   {K:101993} 5/5/2005
What a wonderfully poetic image! The Holga is a wonderful tool if one has this kind of vision with which to apply it. Keep 'em coming!

Cheers,
--George

i like the corners; they're part of the rustic charm of these shots

Hi Ali,

thx a lot for the feedback. No, I didn't mean anything by the edges, they are there ;-)

This is Holga. Weird vignetting, weird plastic lens effects on sharpness and blur. So I wouldn't change that.

best wishes,

thilo

Hi Mark,

everything you see from vignetting to lens effects is true Holga, no PS =)

I just enhanced that effect a tad.

Andre Denis   {K:56377} 5/5/2005
Hi Thilo,
I really like the nice creamy sort of effect that you get from that lens. It seems to work in B&W or colour. This view plays games with your head. You just want to tilt your head to the side to compensate for that horizon. This is one of those "take the viewer out of the comfort zone images" that you do so well.

did you try converting the image to b&w? I like the angle of the camera, gives the image a nice perspective.... nice holga image...

Todd Miller   {K:16464} 5/6/2005
a great tree indeed! love the 'holganess' of this one, and the colors... wunderbar!

NN     {K:26787} 5/6/2005
I?m not a Holga fan (yet), but I like this one! Good work, Thilo!

Girish Chonkar   {K:7031} 5/6/2005
Nice use of tilting the image to make the tree stratight, going well.

Ann Texter   {K:10058} 5/6/2005
great shot! looks like a very crooked hill. haha
I think it's funny how some people don't understand the vignetting... but that's how it's supposed to be! :)

marvelous tones.

Omar Rifaat   {K:10135} 5/6/2005
Such a dramatic shot! Has a real power to it with the resiliant tree resisting the steep incline... Something universal about this one.
Great work Chrissie!

Elisabeth D'Amico   {K:6353} 5/8/2005
Very nice composition. I like the most the effect of the curves and line resulting from the tree and the ground.
Eli:-))

K P   {K:3499} 5/8/2005
Hi Thilo, interesting work like it. While i am liking it am i thinking maybe a bit less black in there. But then again this might not be your taste.
Good Work!
