About Shot on film & scanned. Ears are done digitally. It is part of a long-term project - a series of antique photographs have come to light - a photographic journal from the 1860s, documenting the existence of faeries. Trying to mimick a wet plate style.

This is really a beautiful image. It does look antique. Faeries are one of my favorite subjects, and I'd love to see the journal when it's done. You did a great job on the ears. Her eyes are fantastic and the toning is wonderful. Antonia

most beautiful, dreamy and ethereal... one of my fav subjects perfectly presented... it does indeed remind me of the Cottingley Fairies but in a more elaborate way... think also the Tolkien lettering add to its overall feel... oh, i can dream away for long hours with it!!! a fav!!!! congrats and please do keep up :) emy

Hi Judi - it was a pleasure to share your work with Toni. I really do love that image - so well done. In fact, I love all your images, but I am particulaly fond of the fantasy ones. And how nice to find another Aussie photographer...Keep the fantasy coming, and thanks for the comment.

Judi Liosatos   {K:34047} 7/20/2005
Thankyou so much for your kind words. I believe you had an article in a mag a while ago. I remember reading it. Very well done and so creative.

I had done fantasy images before then but reading it was so refreshing. To know that I wasn't the only one who did those types of images.

Judi
