I liked what you saw and what with the shadow and all. Can you believe how much the "onery" detlef knows. He is just the coolest. I have learned alot by looking at this photo and reading his comment.

Improve, Detlef? Perhaps, but the frame is there quite on purpose. Had I moved, (yes, I looked at many possible angles) the image would have been totally different. I tend to like it just fine. Expose one stop less? This is neg film, and I really don't think 1 stop would have made any difference in this case. Besides, I could have done all that in Photoshop. I chose not to. {:-)

Well since this is supposed to be a place for learning I will put my 2 cents in for what it's worth *G*. This image is fine Z but I see another wonderful image here and it is similar to what Detlef sees.

I would have moved in a little ...eliminated that window, like Detlef said, which I think was doable...or am I wrong. I would have also had a bit less pipe from the pump.

Texture and color are two things that can add lots of impact to an image, so maybe a trip to PS might be a good idea *smile*....Maggie

Stephen your quirky sense of humor is going to an asset here, I think you are going to do a great job with visual puns. Let's see how fun you can really be.

I gotta say I really like your abstracts. You have a good eye and get the technical stuff right on. I like where the shadow is in relation to the pump. I also like how the crack on the wall ends at the pump handle. I'd like to see you post some more abstracts (or anything else).
