I love your photography Chris. Love the rainy day and how you got the little girl in focus and everything else is just enough out of focus to not take away from the girl but still enough in focus to make the scene very interesting. I would maybe have left out the back of the car in the right corner tho. It is in focus and takes away from the girl. The last sentence was added after I took another look at the image:)

I had the front of a car in the frame for a reason. First it balances the photo and second it makes the little girl surrounded... A few of my friends saw this photo and all of them talked about the car. Half said it shouldn't be there and the other half said it must:) What do you think?

What an amazing photo!!! When I first saw this, I thought "WOW" the perfect shot... But then, I read Debbie's comment, and it made me put my hand over the car on the right of the shot... I think that Debbie is right in saying that this image would look slightly better with out the car on the right.... Either way though, I love this shot!

Lovely shot Chris,I like that car just where it is,it lends a feeling of vunerabiliy to the scene , the girl seems to be enjoying her walk in the rain, quite unaware of the dangers surrounding her.

(upon reading the previous comment) I'm in the "car must be there" camp :-)

it seems like the car is more in focus then the little girl, i saw, chop off the back end of the car, and you got a grand photo

I'm with the "leave it in" group. I think it does add a sense of balance, as well as a sense of surreal-ness... the car looks a lot larger than the girl making you take another look into the photo.

The car causes some distraction...
