Good one Linda, I like the composition and the softnes. Even though I generaly dislike centraly position objects, I like this one.
Good work
BTW thanks for the lovely comment on my photo :)

Wonderful stamens.
The blur fits well. Congrats

Paul Lara   {K:77198} 5/13/2005
I think this was in need of a smaller aperature, as only the lower portion is in focus.

Gust@vo Sch3v3rin   {K:116995} 5/13/2005
Muy buena foto! Realmente muy interesante la forma en que lo enfocas y la profundidad de campo lograda.
Un abrazo!

Here!! Where?!! I can't see you!!
Seriously now .. you captured excellent detail.

May I suggest what I think a better diagonal composition?

Best Wishes :)

L. Gould   {K:11900} 5/13/2005
Very nice! I like the contrast between the subject and the background and you've captured a lot of really great detail. Very well done! :)

Hehehehe...thanks Ned for always bringing humor into my day :) Gosh I could just kick myself for doing that....Some things just deserve center stage....but I like what you did here my friend...we are having a deluge of rain and I keep losing internet...thank you so much for your kind and considerate...and funny too...comments on my images...Hugs....:) Linda

Preciosa imagen Linda. Es increible la finura del detalle.

?sigue siendo el Hibisco, verdad?

Stefan Engström   {K:24473} 5/13/2005
Great color contrast in this shot. I think I would have like to have at least one of the fuzzy balls (you can tell how good I am with the flower terminology) in focus.

Dirck DuFlon   {K:35779} 5/13/2005
Great detail shot, Linda - I love it against the black background! The top-lighting on this is wonderful, making it look as though it's glowing with it's own internal light! I think Ned's onto something with the slight rotation. The depth of field is tricky on a macro like this - I imagine that the top of the stamen measures at least 1 cm. across, and the macro setting probably brings the DOF down to less than half of that! As Trish mentioned, though, the softness works here! Nicely done!

Linda Bique   {K:73856} 5/13/2005
Dirck I'm so honored, thank you for your kind and considerate critique of this....big smile and hugs....:) Linda

Edon Karahoda   {K:307} 5/13/2005
It's not you Linda, it's the flowers. I also find it hard to compose it well without putting them in the center. So don't worry. :)
Cheers

Linda Bique   {K:73856} 5/13/2005
You're very kind.....thanks..:) Linda
