About Subject background: Wanted! Fashion victims! The modern outlaws! Dead or fashioned! But hey: You just have to wear your clothes long enough and you're the Retro Ruler anyway.

PC concept: mild works on colors.

Honest feedback highly appreciated

Helo thilo!
Interesting view! You have such a good photographic eye!
It would be nice to see a close up maybe just framing the posters? Was that possible?
Good call on the colors! its wonderful and lively! The effect of the holga makes it look like a vague memory, an image you just passed by but didn?t comprehend it completely
7/7

George Black   {K:101993} 5/19/2005
Once again, the tilt of the image and the dark vignetting support (or inspire) you vision perfectly. Cool . . .

Best wishes,
--george

nice capture... like how you find the unusual in the usual places :) great work

Mark Drago   {K:10869} 5/19/2005
very good Thilo. like to see it without the slant though

Lalage     {K:2397} 5/19/2005
Very well done, I like the way it is, with the view from the background, it stresses the contrast, very lively!

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 5/19/2005
Hey Ann,

I could call my Holga "personal modding" as well ;-)

a strip here and there, you know =)

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 5/19/2005
Hi Arwa,

it is possible, but I have to get used to the difference between the view through the cam and the actual outcome. there is a great difference ;-)

thx for the indepth feedback,

Thilo

Mark Beltran   {K:32612} 5/19/2005
Don't you just love the new 120N? And from the looks of this, I think you lucked out with one that has a nice lens on it. What I like about this is how subdued the colors are in the background, but they get very loud when it comes to the posters. Fave files.

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 5/19/2005
Hi Mark,

thx a lot for faving me. and I like your description with colors becoming loud ;-) (great lyrics)

Thilo

Claude H.   {K:1560} 5/19/2005
Nice colors. It seems to generate a 3D effect. Regards, Claude

I really like your title - modern outlaws - fashion victims !!! :) Amazing!!!! I don?t belong to them..... i do not want to follow others rules ;))) I liek your concept, so important when the trademark and fashion are more important then life for many people.... I welcome the clothes without trademark, or visible ones and i know they exist!!!! Your realization are also great!
I would like to see a serie in this concept! ;)))

Jeanette

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 5/19/2005
Hi Jeanette,

great idea with the series... will think about that!

Hi Thilo, It's great when you get to be my age and you can say you have lived through many generations of retro. My sons wish I kept more of my old stuff when they see my old photos. The trouble is, I wore them till they fell off.
Very nice colour feel to this photo. Very rich looking.

Mark Beltran   {K:32612} 5/19/2005

Carlheinz Bayer   {K:14220} 5/20/2005
Well...I love the idea...I think that image is kick ass...but I don't like the outcome with the saturate/desaturate.
Honest feedback. OKAY?
This lens is phantastic!

great holgavision Thilo! lots of colors to take in, which is always good...i love those wanted signs... watch out, it's the fashion police!

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 5/20/2005
Hi Paul,

that's the Holga mission ;-)

Thilo

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 5/20/2005
hey bro,

actually, the scan looked quite like the final image. I just increased overall saturation, and this is the result ;-) (no masking here)

Angelo Villaschi   {K:49617} 5/21/2005
Very good commentary, Thilo.

Hey, I think I found a way to "emulate" the Holga.

It's called the Nokia 7250i. I'm working on some shots, I may upload them in the future. Maybe when you are back from holidays. Let me know...

Stefan Engström   {K:24473} 5/31/2005
Color tweak is just right to my eyes.

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 6/1/2005
Hi Angelo,

still waiting for your Holga emulator ;-)

Thilo

Angelo Villaschi   {K:49617} 6/1/2005
I may have spoken too soon, but what do you think of this...

Have I totally mis-judged the Holga?

Maria Luisa Vial   {K:36017} 6/2/2005
Great composition Thilo and lovely colors... Another great Holga pic... This type of composition is so much your style...

Cheers,

MaLuisa

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 6/2/2005
Hi Angelo,

looks quite promising... hope to see some stuff in full screen soon ;-)

Thilo

Angelo Villaschi   {K:49617} 6/2/2005
That's the size it comes out of the phone... I love the lens "faults" but the JPEG quality is horrible --- resizing up is a nightmare! Can't have any plain-colour areas... I may have opened my big gob too soon.

We'll see... I am keen to do a "mobile phone camera" series, but it will be challenging.
