You may be following traditions, but in a very non-traditional 'Jeanette' way! As you already know, I love the way you integreate the shadows into your compositions! I don't know why, but the little strip of clouds at the bottom feels a little out of place to me?

Such a fantastic composition! I was wndering what it was right until I saw the full size image. I love the clever use of the 'hole' to frame the tree, and then the use of the angle to accentuate the height. This is superb!!!

Great idea Jeanette..love the shadow on the blue almost like a ripple effect and the view through the object, both go well together..! Might have cloned out the little white bit on the top right and maybe starighten or put more of an angle on the top line but.....all are maybe. Looks great as it is though...well done, my friend.

Jeanette, you have a wonderful portfolio of abstracts, simply amazing how you're able to distill the world into elegant designs. This is very well seen, I'm not sure what the foreground piece is, but I like how you used it as a natural frame, and the shadows falling on it adds depth and intrest to it as well. very nice.

This has got to be one of the best pieces of abstract realism (is there such a genre) that I have seen in a while. I think that I may have been tempted to crop the sky from the top of the image to add even more surrealism to the picture
