Hi Marcus,
This has got to be one of the all time favourite coast drives. (I have never been on that Pacific Coast highway) I've got to get out there some day. Beautiful shot of a beautiful countryside.

A really magnificent land/seascape Marcus. Very similar to our Cornish coastline which is perhaps the most impressive we've got. I bet the sea can be a lot wilder that that at times!
I@ve scanned this image from top to bottom and side to side and can't find a trace of wildlife. Most unusual for you. Hehe.

I have not seen the previous posting of this photo. On the other hand, I have seen this coastline while travelling down Route No 1 in 1992. The way you posted it this time it really is dreamlike.
Thank you for your kind comment on my "Autoportrait of new toy." I tried it without the mini-tripod and having only ISO 50, it came out blurred. I think one of the advantages of this "toy" to be that a mini-tripod will do.

marcus, i had to drop by and tell you i loved the "ice cream was invented in africa" bit. you really had me rolling ;^) thanks.
on to the photo... i really like this a lot. you wouldn't think this is hard to shoot but i had a really tough time with it. i've done this drive a couple of times and trying to cram all that dynamic range into the exposure is extremely hard. i'm thinking i waited too long in search of the golden light and ended up making it harder on myself. i'm also amazed at the clarity and sharpness. no haze. was this shot recently? anyhow, great work.
