Hello Kevin,

Having just looked through some of your other work I don?t feel I have the authority to criticize! But..... Although I like this image a lot (it?s the only one on this page that I wanted to look at full size so it well and truly grabbed me) I feel it?s been let down in some areas.

I would have kept the original background, i.e. not mirrored by cutting out just the face and then flipping it over, keeping the background untouched.

I would have also cloned out one of the scabs on the top of the nose and also on side of the mouth again to break up the symmetry.

And last of all maybe a little bit of feather on the red to soften down the harsh line.

im sorry if all this sounds a to critical but at least im trying to say more than the normal "great work" and "well done" as seems to be the norm and not giving any reason for the comment.

I do like this and I think it works sooo well! All im trying to say is what maybe I would have done.

And as ive said, ive looked at your other work its clear that you have forgotten more than I will ever know, so really I don?t feel worthy to criticize.

Keep up the good work liking it lots

Take it easy and all the best

Andy

Hi Kevin!
This is so funny... and a lovely picture!!!
That small tooth in the middle is an extra tooth called 'mesiodens'. I ask your permission to use this picture to show to the students in my lessons. :-)
I loved it!! To my favorites!!!
Congratulations.
Hugs,
Márcia.

I thought this was odd from the thumbnail. No face is entirely symmetrical. If you'd taken the OTHER half and reflected THAT, he'd probably look a rather different person in the image. Incidentally, at first glance I thought the twin scabs on his nose were from a pair of glasses...

Rosario Esposito   {K:9796} 5/24/2005
Much likeable, you have used too much mask of contrast?!?
