Francisco N-G   {K:27117} 5/30/2005
Excellent perspective and composition. The pastel colours are very effective. The sky is somewhat strange...

:-)

JEANETTE!!!! MY BEST PHOTOGRAPHER FRIEND WITH MY FAVORITE AREA: "BACKLIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY", OF COURSE WITH THE DIFFERENCE OF JH IN A BETTER WAY.. 7+

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59985} 5/30/2005
I know you are a minimalist PJ, also me, but i want to break my own "habits" sometimes :)))

Jeanette

Raf D   {K:10453} 5/30/2005
Beautiful composition!! Interesting point that PJ made, it works too. Personally, I like much more the inclusion of the grate as an added element of form: straight lines versus circular. Also another single element working with the rest, 1 man, 1 light, 1 circle. Great image!!! -- Cheers, Rafael

Guido Fulgenzi   {K:6076} 5/30/2005
Great lighting and nice moody image, congrats.!!
Guido

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59985} 5/30/2005
It was humid day and also a lot heavy rain clouds.... :)

Jeanette

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59985} 5/30/2005
Oh i missed the post you did when i watched via email.... I see what you mean PJ!!!

Jeanette

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59985} 5/30/2005
Grazie, gracias, tack, merci.... ;)
It was like this, your words, i was thinking when i took the shot!!!

Jeanette

Zannoni Matteo   {K:12208} 5/30/2005
straordinaria composizione,

Pace e salute, M.

Judi Liosatos   {K:34029} 5/30/2005
Very beautiful capture. I am confused why the two shadows are in different directions though. Hey, I really like your new bio image....so cool...and I might add...so beautiful.

Thankyou so much Jeanette for your wonderful comment on my image...I am so pleased you liked the colour. So do I..LOL!!

Judi

Omar Rifaat   {K:10135} 5/30/2005
I like! The grate kind of represents indefinite 'depth' and the lamp, 'height'. the lake is the expanse of this level, where the man is, earth.

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59985} 5/30/2005
Hi Judi! Yes you are right, the shadow are into different directions, but they are real - nothing added!!! I don?t know why?
I?m glad you like it.
Hey - i also like your composition!!! :)

Jeanette

Judi Liosatos   {K:34029} 5/30/2005
Hey, that is so cool. Your image is excellent and well captured.

Judi

Saeed Al Shamsi   {K:47543} 5/30/2005
It?s about lines and shapes, the shadows are perfect and enhance the whole composition, the shadow actually is not in different direction it?s a wide angle prob. `cos you are close to the man. Superb work. Saeed

Hanggan Situmorang   {K:37824} 5/30/2005
Superb lighting and shadows, Jeanette! Great picture!

Alper Tecer   {K:7002} 5/30/2005
Great photo. Excellent technique. The only thing looks distracting is the cover at the bottom look like related with the person and his shade. They are so close to each other, I mean. Anyway, this photo is a winner !!!

carla slaviero   {K:4824} 5/30/2005
Thanks for your comment on my picture!!!
This your shot is beautiful and I prefer your choise (with the sewer grate), because the presence of that detail renders the composition mainly balanced.

la tua scelta

carla slaviero   {K:4824} 5/30/2005
sorry for mistake!
my comment is:

Khaled Mursi Hammoud   {K:52411} 5/30/2005
Jeanette... I like the idea in here so much... as you categorized it, gives me the feeling of being lonely...
The backlighting with the sun and the shadow on the foreground are good.. one think is I whished you included the whole lamp post in the image... most probably the man would have been smaller but from this angle I bet you could have managed this.
It's great also this way Jeanette, bravo,
Khaled.

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59985} 5/30/2005
Hi Khaled and thanks for your comment! Yes maby i?m going to post my other composition of the "same" image.... with the wole lamp included.... i have not decided yet!
:)

Jeanette

Saqib Zulfiqar   {K:2770} 5/30/2005
Very interesting and nice image. Its a nice break from the minimalistic series. Like the stright lines and the circle in the foreground composition. The light , expression and the clouds look great in the background too.
I echo Judi's comment on the bio pic as well :-)

jezabel /tutku tokol   {K:10730} 5/30/2005

Ameed El-Ghoul   {K:42188} 5/30/2005
So calm and peacefully, I like the composition allot, especially having the sky with water as a background, very well seen and composed,
Regards,

Carlos     {K:12969} 5/30/2005
A poetic scene seen and photographed poetically Jeanette! The shadows are curious as if two photographs snapped at different times of the day. But the tones, the softness are very beautiful. A small criticism? I find the vertical elements, the man and lamp, would better benefit from a vertical presentation ? the image going off into empty sky? But I know ?vertical? goes counter to most of your frames?
One other thing? others mention how lovely (beautiful) you look in your bio page? My son, a young but capable connoisseur of beautiful women would say... 'she's a A MAJOR BABE dad'? ;-) and IT?S TRUE? IT?S TRUE?

Antonio Trincone   {K:23167} 5/30/2005

Dirck DuFlon   {K:35779} 5/31/2005
This is a really nice, clean and minimal image, Jeanette - such muted colors compared to your recent series! :) I like the 3-point composition here - the man is standing in such a way that he seems almost like a statue!

Mr. M    {K:5514} 5/31/2005
This must be another perfect Award!

;)

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59985} 5/31/2005

mm

emily savva   {K:21113} 6/1/2005
i love the inner balance and division of planes in this one dear Jeanette... the pavement line alligned with the horizon... the man and the light... the circle on the pavement and the curvy clouds in the sky... what is up is down as well... what is left is right too... only comprised of different elements in pairs... but what?s more are the shadows... these are the surprise in the overall duality... independent elements that follow their own rules while merging with the rest of the surroundings... absolutely superb capture!!!! hugs... emy :)

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 6/1/2005
Hi Jeanette (or should I say: PP?),

very cool stuff with the two poles (man and lantern) dominating the scene. the geometry distorsion especially at the lantern is something I would probably work on...

no playground? =)

best wishes,

Thilo
