About Ok, I know this is very different for me...I was out looking for a pelican and I saw this and just took a quick shot of it, I wasn't planning on keeping it, but when I was cleaning out folders yesterday I saw it again, and I liked it. I like the silhouette against the light background..and all the lines. Wish I'd have put more thought into it...in terms of getting the lines more accurate, but as they say hindsight is 20/20...hope you like my bird on the bleachers...:)

Very nice silhouette & lines/shapes ... I like it too! :)

Dave Stacey   {K:117552} 5/30/2005
I like the idea, Linda, with the bird silhouetted against the court with the lines all around it. Perhaps a little tighter crop would make it that much better.
Dave.

Gilberto Santa Rosa   {K:11147} 5/30/2005
An excellent composition and colors!!!
Congrats

Linda Bique   {K:74033} 5/30/2005
Thank you Dave, I tried a tighter crop, what do you think? :):)

Linda Bique   {K:74033} 5/30/2005
Oops here it is....

Francisco N-G   {K:27117} 5/30/2005
Very nice image Linda, I like the contrast between the vertical and horizontal straight lines and the siluetted round shape of the bird.

Good job!

Francisco

Una composición muy particular e interesante y qué pequeño es ese pájarito!!

Un gran abrazo!

Carolyn Wiesbrock   {K:14051} 5/30/2005
I like the abstract colors and the muted quality..very nice!

Roger Williams   {K:83282} 5/30/2005
Definitely worth saving, Linda. Must confess I had to look up "Bleachers," though. It's always a good idea to look through files of older shots occasionally. Sometimes you'll find good stuff that was overshadowed or ignored for some reason, like this one. Of course you digital shooters usually delete almost everything as soon as you've taken it right?

Linda Bique   {K:74033} 5/30/2005
Thank you very much Roger, yeah we do I'm afraid, I opened this and just liked it...thanks again...:):)Linda

Angelo Villaschi   {K:49617} 5/30/2005
Nice one, Linda. The silhouette breaks up the line pattern very well.

Linda Bique   {K:74033} 5/30/2005

Thank you Angelo, I appreciate your words...:):)Linda

Khaled Mursi Hammoud   {K:52411} 5/30/2005
Yes Linda... the lines and the silhouette of the bird in between are very intresting and unusual to catch such a photo for a bird.
Nice abstract shot my friend, well done,
Khaled.

Linda Bique   {K:74033} 5/30/2005
Thank you Khaled..do you think I should put it in the abstract category rather than the alternate perspective? Carolyn referred to it as abstract as well...so now I'm wondering. Thank you too my friend for your kind words...hugs..Linda

Khaled Mursi Hammoud   {K:52411} 5/30/2005
Hi Linda,
I didn't notice that Carolyn too suggested the same thing about being nice to be placed under abstract category... I think the transverse lines with 2 oblique ones and the bird on one side makes a wonderful abstract.
God bless you my friend,
Khaled.

Linda Bique   {K:74033} 5/30/2005
Thank you again Khaled and God bless you too...:):)Linda

Alison DuFlon   {K:36165} 5/31/2005

Larry Fosse   {K:65815} 5/31/2005
this is a very interesting composition Linda...the structred horizontal lines along with the silhouette of the bird are a great contrast...well done.....ps congrats on being featured again..I figure soon you won't wanna hang out with us lowlifes!

Linda Bique   {K:74033} 5/31/2005
hehehehe...lol...you're too funny, and silly too, I think Hollywood has gone to your head.....thanks Larry I'm so glad you liked it, I appreciate your comments..:):)Linda

Dave Stacey   {K:117552} 5/31/2005
Hi Linda, I think it does get rid of some of the distracting parts, although I actually meant from the top and bottom, but that's only my opinion!
Dave.

Mary Brown   {K:68553} 5/31/2005
It good to try something different. The composition is great, Linda. I like the way the bird seems to be looking at the spot where the two lines seem to be converging. Wonderful.
Mary

Linda Bique   {K:74033} 5/31/2005
Well there's a funny lesson for me, and that's good because I needed that..I wanted to do exactly that but let someone influence me and I didn't do it, so it's just one of those things, that tells me to stick to my guns or intuition. Live and learn...I do appreciate you taking the time to suggest that... I know you are very busy these days...thanks a lot...:):)Linda

Asim Roy   {K:9701} 5/31/2005
Very creative capture Linda, beautiful, u may replace the bird with Asim, and i am sitting on the bleachers to see your daily activity, hehehe, love, asim

Hanggan Situmorang   {K:37824} 5/31/2005
This is excellent, Linda. The bird really accentuates the straight lines' pattern. Great moment captured, congratulations!

Muy oportuna! Ese pajarillo pone un contraste de "humanidad" en una imagen geométrica

Roberto Okamura   {K:22842} 5/31/2005

Best regards!

Dirck DuFlon   {K:35779} 5/31/2005
Hi Linda, I'm glad you went back and retrieved this! Funny, I can't quite put my finger on *why* it's an appealing photo, but it is! There's something funny about there being all these structural elements seemingly just for this little bird! :) I like it!

Nour El Refai   {K:13681} 6/2/2005
i like it, it is different but i liked it

Jose Ignacio (Nacho) Garcia Barcia   {K:92149} 6/6/2005

david henderson   {K:10994} 8/21/2005
Hi Linda, just browsing your shots and enjoying the experience....I like this little bird, the lines of direction, the patterns and the suggestion that 'I am a little nervous about this place and wondering why I am here'?....good work, cheers, david.

Linda Bique   {K:74033} 8/21/2005
Thank you David so nice of you and I'm glad you liked this one...I almost deleted it and then decided there was something about it so I posted it it...thank you again...:):)Linda

John Hatz   {K:144327} 5/20/2008
very nice shot, not JUST a bird here Linda but much more about the very nice composition with that ...well, must be a fence. I like a lot the composition here!

Robert Gaither   {K:29674} 6/1/2008
I like it too. Like the lines and capture. Just whatever you see with you eyes try to bring it out the best you can in a photograph I say. Excellent image.
