About This is a near neighbour of ours who loves her garden and though it's small, as most gardens here are, makes the most of it. The house is built in traditional Japanese style, much more expensive than modern housing.

I do like the way the garden obscures the building and leaves the viewer to imagine the rest. Photographically the splash of pink really works well too

great composition.

This one looks as if it was taken in really strong sunlight, Roger.
Like Keith, I like the splash of pink, as well as the insight you've given us into the different styles of japanese housing.
Best regards, Chris

I love the traditional architecture... beautiful work..I can see why it is more expensive than a typical square modern house.. nicely captured

Those traditional house have got a lot more appeal IMO. A good wide angle shot and a nice composition. The details are very nice so your scanner works very well. Nice work again.

The traditional architecture always seems so balanced with gardens so lovingly tended about them. In the area where I live there are many small gardens around the homes, but the real special ones are those put in by the Japanese ladies. I'll share one with you tomorrow.

A lovely Japanese garden Roger, I like the textures of the stone wall contrasted against the florals and shrubs. The interesting architecture is also a nice look see...:):)Linda

I think the wall might be slightly overexposed, but a lovely shot overall.

Beautiful house and garden too. Must be great living in Japan, I would really like to visit it at some point.

Regards,
Ciprian

Beautiful composition, well balanced! I love the architecture, it never fails to attract my attention when I see one such house. Especially the roof has a particulat beauty, which resides in shape and tiles.
