| About |
Location: Mountain Zebra NP, South Africa Date: 19 Mar 2005 Capture: Canon EOS-1D Mk II, EF 500 f4L IS with EF 1.4x II, 1/180, f8, ISO 400 (The teleconverter was ?permanently attached? to the body to keep dust out when changing between the 120-300 and 500.)
The Cape Mountain Zebra is a rare species that only exists in a few reserves and zoos. Differences from the Common Zebra, also known as a Burchell?s or Planes Zebra, include a dewlap, brown nose, and a gridiron pattern on the rump.
