great.

3 great looking characters with interesting faces. You did a good job of keeping detail in the faces in spite of the broad hat brims. Very nice!

Don Loseke   {K:32503} 6/13/2005
This quite an interesting picture of these old cowboys. They really look the part.. I do feel that the faces are a little dark and can't quite get a good look at these great men. Don.

Three different types of guys and HATS!
Nice photo Paul.
I could see this in black and white with sepia tones.

I like it,
Lori ;)

Rebecca Raybon   {K:26645} 6/13/2005
Wonderful capture! These are true cowboys!

Paul Lara   {K:86864} 6/13/2005
Yeah, Leah, my trick there is to use a brush in Soft Light mode, about 20%, 20%. Then I can gently lighten their faces in a much more natural way than dodge or burn ever will. ;)

Paul Lara   {K:86864} 6/13/2005
I can lighten their faces more, and perhaps boost contrast as well.

Thanks, Don.

Love the focus and the color on this Paul! Great shot. Very movie-like quality to it.

Paul Lara   {K:86864} 6/30/2005
Thanks Cheryl!
They were sitting in the shade of the porch, which gave JUST the right diffusion you'd hope for.
