About When you?re weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all;
I?m on your side. when times get rough
And friends just can?t be found,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

When you?re down and out,
When you?re on the street,
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
I?ll take your part.
When darkness comes
And pains is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

Best regards,

Chris

Simon and Garfunkel, I called them Paul and Art ;-)
I like this shot Chris, because its the kind of place you can just sit and reflect and allow the stress and strain of life go down the drain. nice composition and exposure.

Love this song. Love this beautiful, fabulous picture. It is very peaceful and the shadows portray a soothing kind of mood. The framing style suits really well. However, I find the thickness of the white frame a little distracting. A thinner section would emphasize the picture more, IMHO. I hope you don't mind my saying so.

Very nice composition, Chris. I like the framing and presentation very much! The water doesn't look too troubled tho. Just a lovely serene scene. Best wishes, Larry.

Thank you for reminding me of this song, as my own waters are pretty troubled right now... The dappled light and shadow are obviously right at the limit of what digital photography can cope with. If it were TV I'd reach out to turn down the contrast (and tweak the saturation). I wish I understood better and could appreciate frames like this!

Fabio Ficola   {K:10466} 6/13/2005
Great one Chris,
nice shot and thank you for the about...

It's a "strong" frame but at least is eyecatching :-)

Stephen Bowden   {K:64516} 6/15/2005
Beautiful photograph Chris. Love the title too.

It certainly is a wonderful work of "Art" and I have not got the fogiest idea how to get "garfunkel" into this reply lol

Best wishes,
Steve

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 6/15/2005
I shouldn't worry about it, Steve! You could go mad trying to think of such a pun! I tried a similar thing once and I'm 'still crazy after all of these years'!! )
Best regards, Chris

ade mcfade   {K:12388} 6/16/2005
Dazzling colours Chris - not an easy scene to expose correctly with the light being so contrasting everywhere.

the composition is perfect for the shot - the eye being taken on a circular tour from bottom left right round to the water bottom right.

I can play th tune too - though it's not easy, believe me!! Still need the music anyway!

Mike Frakes   {K:3349} 6/16/2005
You are a master of focus, and the image ain't half bad either! LOL. I like the way you use your borders to really accentuate the main point of focus. Nicely done!

Astrid McCaffrey   {K:148} 6/17/2005
The shot it self is Excellent as most of yours are Chris ( I bet you can hear it comming lol) but the frame draws the eye away from the shot, especially the distortion at the top and the left hand corner give the optical illusion the picture is off center. My opinion ofcourse

Love the song its gotten me through some ruff times

Regards

Astrid

Khaled Mursi Hammoud   {K:52315} 6/17/2005
I like the array of colors ranging from yellow, brown, blue to green .
Very nice angle you captured it from Chris... more than wonderful.
Take care,
Khaled.
