Its not easy to get a good photograph of a peony!
They are beautiful in real life but I haven?t been successful in photographing them! The warm toning is fantastic! It almost looks like the peony?s smell if that makes any sense!
But the main factor that made this black and white image really special is the light! The direction and placement of the source showed off the striking layers and depth of this flora! Yet its soft and diffused so there aren?t any hot spots, except maybe some little parts on the top?
A great image to be added to the black and white flora project ;)
Well done elizabeth :)

Hello Elizabeth,this is an amazingly beautiful portrait of a peony,the tones and lighting are supurb,I think the fact the bloom is not the usual perfect symetrical shape adds greatly to the beauty of the whole image.Must add to favourites!
So thrilled to read your health report,wonderful news:)
Regards,Micky

Hi micky;
Thank you so much for your kind comments about my peony photo. Very much appreciated.
Yes, it is such good news about my health..It's been a long journey finally comming to an end.
(I hope). Sometimes I feel like a ticking time bomb, lol...I guess in time that will fade.
Take care Micky.
Elizabeth
