Beautiful country scene Rebecca! The sky is really teriffic! I like how the road meanders through the frame! And I also like how You framed the left side with the tree!!! A super photo! My best........................John

Very nice picture Rebecca, the sky is beautiful. You focus on the sky, this is why is dark on the ground, automatic aperture. Put your camera on manual, do a reading on the sky and one at ground level and you divide by 2, you adjust your aperture on your lens and shoot it. And you will get something more equal. But the scenery is beautiful.
Best regards
Guy

hi, i think the darker surroundings work here because is a nice contrast with the bright sky...i like the darker shadows and the framing by the tree....~Shameless

Lovely view and really great sky, Rebecca I think I would have tried lightening a bit to bring out more of the great colours - had a go - see what you think

I like the vertical composition of the photo with the curved road leading our eyes to the centre of the image where the mountains are in the background...strong dramatic sky Rebecca, bravo.
Khaled.

Thank you Margaret..I tried to lighten it up a little but it seems to me like I kept making the sky look blown out. Whatever you did looks fine though! I'm not used to the metering on the new camera, and am having a terrible time trying to adjust. Thank you :)

John Loreaux   {K:85872} 6/21/2005
Getting back to this shot Rebecca, About the metering, If You take an exposure somewhere between the sky and land then the sky would be washed out. If You just meter the land the sky would be gone. What You did gave the best look for the great sky and what Margaret did was the answer, burning in the lighter area and leaving the sky alone. The result is excellent!Sometimes I like the mood when it's left alone and this is the case here! Nice photo! My best.......................John

A wonderful view, I love the highlighted flowers in the front adding a burst of color and the long shadows making me think it's late afternoon. Alison

I like the mood of this too. A lighter foreground makes an altogether different picture with a very different feeling. I think you made some good choices here.

This is a true view of peacefulness - I love the light falling on the road as well as the way the road just seem to go on and on - very well done - K

Great shot here Rebecca Your composition here is stunningly good . I do like what Margaret did to it to It kinda brings the whole image into a different look . I do agree with John on the exposure . I also try a graduated NDF to hold back the sky some . Any way Rebecca I like this image a lot .. Great work . Glenn ..ps: Thanks for the nice complements on all my work Appreciate it a lot . But I wish people would rip me more so I can learn something LOL Cheers
