Great BW tones and details Ned, I love how everything is dark except the bird and the tree, very beautiful lighting!

the bird appears to glow against all the darkness, a lot of analogies could be made from this... it is really an awesome image..!

I like how you composed the image with all these leafless branches in the foreground.
The tones are very dramatic Ned... great work my friend, regards,
Khaled.

Linda Bique   {K:74033} 6/21/2005
Beautifully done my dear friend, I love the tones and all of the dead branches too, but only I wish that you would have cloned out the one branch that is extending from it's beak, otherwise it's perfectly done. Ned your compositions are so very good, love this strong diagonal, and the dark corner on the upper left really helps to bring out your beautifully captured bird....beautifully done...hugs...:):)Linda

Excellent capture, and great presentation. Nice work! 7+++

Angelo Villaschi   {K:49617} 7/6/2005
Hi again, Ned.

Great capture of this bird, and the shot works well in b&w because of the disctinctive tone of the bird, which sets is out from the background. You have also exposed it very well.

I like the picture, but I don't like so much the framing. It's a bit too busy and detracts from the image, for my taste. A question of taste, but I think I would have preferred a 1px white line before the black border.

Ned Ali   {K:11901} 7/6/2005
Hi Angelo,
Thanks for your lovely comment and suggestion :)
I think you're right about the border.
regards,
ned
