I think this is really lovely-- especially the bottom half.

Barry Wakelin   {K:7838} 6/21/2005
A lovely light but compositionally it feels a little lacking in direction. The rocks feel a bit haphazard and my eyes are being drawn out diagonally to the top left and are then forced back to the top right.

Saqib Zulfiqar   {K:2770} 6/22/2005
Thanks Barry for your honest critique. Do you cropping from the left and cloning out some rocks would help?

Barry Wakelin   {K:7838} 6/22/2005
Saqib, I've tried cropping it but can't find a composition that works. I think it's because there are too many small rocks and the sun's out of line with their orientation.

Just looking at the previous version of this, Saqib. It is amazing the colour balance difference obtained just from processing in a different version of the software!

Is that right, or is there further colour work done in the original upload?

I like the more "natural" colour of this version.
