Very nice exposure and composition, Don. The chess set is unusual. Hand carved wood? Regards, Larry

Nice still life, Don! I like the mood the setting has created.
Dave.

They evidently play standing up! Nice image, Don. Has a moodiness about it and really seems to be void of a sense of time. It could be a scene from today or one from years gone by.

HI Don,

This is so interesting. Love the whole setup, and great lighting. What especially caught my eye were the actual chess pieces. They are 'clunky' looking and really seem to fit their location.

Good eye on seeing this one.
Lori :)

Youngest boy was in chess tournaments and got his picture in the paper for it. I don't have the patience to play chess. I like games of chance for me. Excellent capture and image.

I love the silent , peacefulness captured here, very pleasing.

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 6/22/2005
They obviously didn't want you to leave until you'd finished the game, Don!!
Nice shot ~ and quite different to your normal subject matter.
Best regards, Chris
