This has a very classic "old-fashioned" look to it, starting from the man and his tools, to the treatment given and the faded look of the toning.
The rich textures are wonderful.

Oh dear Erland, I've seen your portfolios and I really
enjoyed. Your works are full of sense and life, very
nice works. ...but this one is my favourite, I do not
know why however it reminds me the old vintage photographs.
Very classical style, well executed sepia, great treatment.
My favourite tones is the sepia. Wonderfully done!

Excellent capture and composition, takes you right back to the early 1900s with the sepia and the man's pose. Fabulous composition, too. The cut hay actually leads you across the field to the old implement.

Well I love to see some again... even not YOUR subject, you manage it very well (ofcaurse) and I love the placement on that picture, all are at the best place!!! I only could try to make the sky a bit softer about some grain spots but that has to do with my tast only, I suject that because already the grass is 'rouph' and the sky needs to be more soft.

This has again the look of those old, aged images, taken some decades ago. And it also has that kind of straightness of composition - sincerity and clarity, if you wish! The proportions and the perspective are excellent. Perhaps a bit more detail on the face of the farmer.
