A lovely Solstice shot Chris. I visited the Tor and Camelot (which is nearby) some years ago and this shot brings back the feeling of awe that I had at the time.A lovely composition.Regards, Brian

Very nice composition, Chris. I like the muted colors and sky. The stream cutting through the fields and the foeground tree framing are frosting on the cake. Thanks for sharing. Larry.

I quite like the branches that form the natural frame along the top, but miss a trunk connecting them to the ground.

Hi Lori,
Thanks for your kind and faithful comments! )
Yeah, my brain was a bit 'done in' last evening by the time I got round to loading up this shot, so I thought I'd leave the 'about' blank to see if anyone would notice ~ and you did!! )
Best regards, Chris

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 6/22/2005
Hi Roger,
I know what you're saying about the trunk! It would have been nice to include it, too, but I just couldn't get the angle I wanted if I took that into the picture. Sometime you just gotta compromise, I guess!
Best regards, Chris

ade mcfade   {K:12388} 7/1/2005
A little different to what it was last week I bet?

the natural fram of the tree works a treat and having the tor and stream on either third line makes it really well balanced composition.

Cheers

Ade

A nice view, and superb use of the branch for framing the image.

A very pleasant image, Chris.
