Excellent shot Todd. Expression, colour, sharpness (especially at 2.8), lighting all excellent. I am amazed at the complaints that this lens still gets, I have it too and love it. Very nice portrait, could be a National Geographic cover, congrats and regards, Art.

Thanks Arthur. It was actually raining when I took this photo. I had my camera in a plastic bag. This guy was standing just inside a door on a corner to get a break from the rain. I took a few photos of him and then he left. This photo was actually underexposed because I couldn't see my camera settings through the plastic bag. I rescued it in PS. I don't think it's a great shot but it's ok. It's shot at F8 btw not F2.8.

Thanks Chantal. I really don't see this as one of my better portraits. It was just a quick snapshot in the street while I was trying to get a break from the rain. Maybe I'll have to take a few more like this.....LOL. Certainly nice to have a little recognition just the same.

and great shot, great colors and a great object(cuban cigar) which is a symbol of havana.. he seems to be a great character full of life, i love the expression on his eyes..

i agree with someone who said its not just ok!
lights and shadows are really smooth..thats because of the weather condition, you did a nice job with PS. i love the fantastic dark bg that makes the face come out...
