About I am always so jealous of all of my usefilm friends who post these spectacular sunsets over water. I have often thought that I could do shots like that if I lived by the ocean too!. Well, I don't. I live in the midwest US and I found out last night that we have some pretty special sunsets as well.

This was taken near Omaha last night in a farm community. I listed "From the Field" as a category for this shot. I am standing is a soybean field taking the shot. I guess that qualifies! That is a grain elevator in the middle of the shot. Grain elevators are kind of like our version of the palm tree.

This is right from the camera with no PS work other than cropping and framing.

Hope you enjoy. I know I did!

There's no ocean beach near your place? Goes to show you that there are spectacular sunsets without the beach..great job Mark

Mark, you sure have a winner here. It all comes together very well. You sure have the exposure down to a science. Don.

This is an outstanding sunset, Mark! The composition with the silhouettes in front of the terrific burning sky is just superb. Wish I had been there :-) I like the framing. It makes a really great presentation. This one is a keeper for sure! Larry

And a beautiful red sky it is! I like the effect of the silo! You don't have to live on the ocean to get a sunscape on the water however, just a pond or lake or any body of water will just fine! :)
