Wonderful close-up of this lovely Columbine!!! Beautiful colors, excellent DOF and composition... well done!!! Oh boy another stiff competitor on the 'flower front' has risen... ;-D!!! It looks vaguely familiar... can-can it be... LOL!!!!

This is lovely Jim, are you hanging out at the senior center now that your are getting closer to retirement. Maybe just getting the hang of it before it happens??
I like the cropping and the wonderful seperation from the background. Great one Jim. Don.

This is a lovely flower and composition! We don't have them here. We do have an artist that comes to the local Art Festival that has all kinds of images of these Columbines. I think there is a tad bit of aliasing in this one... easy on the sharpen.

Brenda
thanks for the comment, I seldom get REAL critiques and enjoy them cuz it means you studied it, and weren't running and gunning to get thirty photos covered appreciate it. !! Did this one at work on my laptop and probably should have waited till I got home to get it on a good screen then I could have USM'ed it too much there ;-)

Another perfect shot. I think it could be in B&W to highlight the shape of flower. Anyway gorgeous capture. Best, Matej.
