About This is Calatrava's pavilion-like building at the Milwaukee Art Museum, and expansion of the museum complex. It features a kinetic structure: a bris-soleil with louvers that open and close like the wings of a great bird.

They close it everyday at 5PM so I took a series of pictures and put this together so you could see it..:)

I lost some detail on the resize..:):)

Very beautiful and well put together. The only thing I would do is reverse the order to make it look like the bird is opening the wings. Thanks also for your wonderful comments.

Your latest two photos, "The Wings of a Bird" and "Footprints in the Sky" complement each other. Each is excellent in its own right, but next to each other they can, at least imho, be regarded as one whole, especially as I thought before opening the first one among them that it represented the wings of an aeroplane.
Thank you, dear Linda, for very, very generous comment on my "From the field 11."
There are two things I would like to add.
The first is that I loved to take photos of the dry aspect of our country long before digital photography had been invented.
The other is that Rachel, my wife, was interened by the British on Mauritius between ages 3 and 5. After havig revisited the Island in 1999, she was inundated by her memories from there and wrote 30 short stories, cobined in a book called "Sweet lemons." The book was adopted by our National Institute and Museum for the Study of the Holocaust and will be tought in our schools. I translated five of these stories so far (2-3 pages each) and would like to send those to you in case you would like to read them.
Best regards,
Rafi
