Wow, very nice portrait of a beautiful child. Now I want to go out and buy a big softbox and try this with my youngest! Beautiful!
Best Regards, Bill C.

Thanks. The big soft box is the next best thing to window light in my opinion!! Mine is a 6 foot Aurora.

David Hofmann   {K:23830} 6/24/2005
perfect combination :)
very nice work.

Do you use this lens a lot? I tried it yesterday and didn't feel too comfortable with it. heavy, big, and the focal length was too long for most situations I'm used to work in.

Louise Vessey   {K:13859} 6/25/2005
Hi David. I'm using it more and more. It is heavy and does take getting used to. I really do not like tripods so 99% of my work is hand held so the VR comes in very handy. Good work out for the biceps that chunk of glass is. I find it great for wedding candids, available light in the church and for getting that nice bokeh in the background. It's becoming my favourite lens but the 24-135mm is still my main one.

Beautiful lighting and toning, excellent portrait.

Smiles, grins and nice neat rows of pearly whites can be nice but you can't beat an expression such as this. It lends a thoughtful look to this young subject that smiles just don't seem to convey. This is a pose (and lighting) for other portrait artists to imitate.
