About Another for my ongoing Vortex Pool project... if they're not your cup of tea I appologise now.. there are going to be more! It's amazing what interesting images you can get from this water being sloshed around.

This, I think, is one of the best yet.. I love the sparkling 'light' effect in the background... gives the impression of a city at night.

Would love to know what you all think of this collection so please don't be shy with your comments.

Thanks for looking
Sue xx

I personally enjoyed this photograph - I like the effects from water and getting a swirl is difficult.

Just been looking at these Sue, they aree great.
I shall have to pay another visit here as I have never seen these pools.
I like the way you get in close and this gives an intresing perspective.
I would like to try them with a longer exposure.

Thanks Michael.... your comment is really nice.

The Vortex pool is one of the attractions of the new 'Serpent garden' at The Alnwick Gardens... the water is gushed into a pool from two shoots in the middle which causes the swirling effect... although the water is clear it's still very interesting to watch.. though I think the real magick happens when you take a photo & play with the colours in Photoshop. This is my favourite subject so far for UF & there is more from the pool to come... so please feel free to view & comment at your leisure.

Thanks again
Sue xx

Good idea Keith (& one my camera sadly is not up too... lol) would be interesting to see how a long exposure will effect photo's of this pool.

All my shots (so far) are taken in auto mode... though getting some pretty good images from this project so far.

The serpent garden is well worth a visit & full of fun for kids... em... sugest you take a towel though & maybe a waterproof cover for your camera.. lol

Thanks Greg... I love all the shots I've taken from the Vortex Pool (Think I'm going to have to re-catogorise them on there own as I'm going to be adding lots more... seems I get a different effect every time I click the camera... no two images ever the same... this is one of my favourites so far so it's good to see other people enjoy them just as much.

Thanks again for your continued support on here.
Keep well & Bright

I agree with you Sue, it is one of the best yet - love that rust colour, it's very rich and deep. Keep 'em coming.

This is the best of the series so far Sue (and I started with Universe). I love the way you've not only caught the surface effects of the vortex but also have the vortex itself through the water and the fabulous light shining too. Well done!

Sue, this is fabulous! I had to put it to large to really see it peoperly. I love the rich colours and the way you have used the light. Superb.
