A young girl wearing Mentawai's traditional headband inside Pei Pei Catholic church is being anointed with holy oil by my uncle, a bishop, as a symbol of Chrism (Confirmation) Sacrament. By receiving this sacrament, one has an obligation to becoming the Witness and Messenger of Love, personalized by Christ. Due to the far distance between large amount of districts within a parish in this island, this event is only held every 3-4 years, because the sacrament can only be given by a bishop.
