Dear Mary, your new picture has an element of intrigue, the question "What happened here?" that makes you look at the picture twice.
Very well done .

Dear Pan, your critique is structural and I honor you ( specially your skilful shots )...Your idea looks very good actually.

what do you think about that event?

there isn't any mystery....?

as always your idea and thoughts are attractive for me, thanks for all.

mary... i love the crop and the composition of this shot. when i first looked at it i thought of a accident victim waiting for help, the way the head is tilted and the hair is splayed on the ground. after studying it longer that image went away in my head. definitely asks the question "what happened here." two technical comments: i think the hair in the lower right corner is a bit overexposed/noisy. i would try to pull back a bit more on that. also, because of the angle of pespective the upper lip looks a bit swollen compared to the much thinner lower lip. i think you could fix that in photoshop to make it look a bit more natural. please don't take my comments harshly. i like this shot. i just think it can be improved a bit... david

Dear david, you are always welcome, thanks for your always kind words, I'm realy glad that I receive a comment from one of the real photographers that I admire his skill.

About your comments: I agree with the 1st; maybe 'coz of my scanner and the 2nd this related to the form of model's lips I can't change the nature!but you've right ...

anyway, thanks for your care and taking time to analyze this shot.I always appreciate your comments.

Dear Mary, the question "what happened here" is a mystery by itself since it cannot be answered throught a picture which olny depicts a fraction of time.So we all stay with our suggestions about what might have happened.

david cunningham   {K:8255} 6/26/2005
mary... i agree about nature. though sometimes the image i captue is not quite what the person really looks like because of my low angle of shooting or the way a shadow cuts across the face. in those cases i try to retouch the image so that it looks more like what the person really looks like rather than the way the perspective/shadow changes the person in the image. as an example of what i do here is a slight retouch of your model's upper lip and nose. this is just an example of the way i work, not a criticism of your work... david
