About I've got a new toy, meet my IXUS 50!!!!!! Bought it last week and been playing with it ever since.... It's even smaller than my 330... (credit card size!!) and I'm trying out all it's tricks among which a great macro setting, that you can even increase by a digital setting... but just like a digital zoom you loose clarity/pixels, so I'll try to avoid that one... On the other hand it has got 5 MP so I can afford to loose a couple (3 MP gone and I'm still as 'good' as my 330... ;-D). I'll have to remember to correctly id my pics from now on...

Well if this is anything to go by the purchase was a success! Lovely shot Petal. The centre section is perhaps a bit too blown out but thats the nature of shooting contre-jour! One thing I do like are the diffraction effects around the seeds - lovely little rainbows everywhere!

Looking forward to a few more images from your new toy now!

Wonderful details! I love that the sky is peaking in at the top. Looks like your new purchase has paid off. :)

That one spot is a bit blown... but what a pov! Love this image! Had to look twice at the thumb to figure it out! :)

Very nice work, Petal. Good imagination to place the sun in the frame and through the dandelion head. You got some nice effect there.

Congrats on the Ixus 50. I have an older Ixus 400 and I love the results i get with it.

Excellent perspective and wonderful macro shot! Great idea to put the sun right behind the flower - it really does shine.
