About Subject background: New York, Brooklyn Bridge, the spider web, basic fear, basic instinct. a hint to one of my first images here...
http://www.usefilm.com/image/444797.html =)

PS concept: Normally, I love clouds and try to emphasize them. This time, I went for the total annihilation of them with the channel mixer. Hope you like the outcome - kind of different this time.

great use of contrast here - a stark cloudless sky rocks on this one - K

Hi my dear friend... From the thumbnail I knew it was you... Remember that once you told me that you were still finding your style??? This is completely you... I says Thilo Bayers all the way.

Definetely I agree with you in this one... A dramatic sky would have antagonize the composition... Love the abstract web... Great geometric composition and excellent angle... Love the buildings silhouttes on the background...

Cheers,

MaLuisa

Stunning!

Angelo Villaschi   {K:49617} 6/27/2005
Very good choice to go for the more graphic and stark look and feel without details in the sky. I like the almost lithographic results, Thilo. There is almost no grays at all.

A very good entry for the silhouettes project.

Todd Miller   {K:16464} 6/28/2005
this one is sweet thilo... great idea and the composition is perfect. what a unique view of this bridge! the work on the sky is awesome. great job.

Gayle's Eclectic Photos   {K:91033} 6/28/2005
hi, good high contrast shot,Thilo...the perspective is what i like best giving a large spidey-man web look ;> ...regards,gayle

Alper Tecer   {K:7002} 6/28/2005
Excellent composition. Strikes the eye. I may only criticise artifacts at the left upper corner. Sorry this photo is so close to be "perfect". Best regards. Alper.

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 6/28/2005
Hi Alper,

ah, you've seen it? =) As I uploaded the picure, I saw these fragments as well and thought for 5 seconds to replace the image. But then I went for the upload ;-)

thx for the feedback,

Thilo

auf Frauenfang im Netz ;)

minimalistisch, da würden Wolken doch eher stören
Ich mag es genau so, gerade mal entgegen der klassischen Sicht...

PS: ein winziges Staubkorn...mmmh

Sally Morgan   {K:9219} 6/28/2005
Super clean, sharp silhouettes - the border 'blends' in too!
I have an urge to flip it into portrait, and colour every other square in - like a chess board.
Very nice.

The photographer's basic instinct also - getting a handle on all those geometries out there. Great high contrast treatment. /H

Best wishes,

Gianes Ma   {K:24612} 6/30/2005
Wonderful game of lines for a perfect result. I like this hard contrast in the b/W.
Congrats,
G.

Carsten Ranke   {K:14453} 6/30/2005
Yes it works, the "spider web" is attraction enough and would not be improved with details in the sky. Very good use of high contrast and diagonals.

Ahmet Baki Kocaballi   {K:13627} 6/30/2005
