About This small town is right next to the Serra da Canastra National Park, and the mesa structure overlooks it.

There are some lovely traditional looking houses in there. The locals were not happy to be photographed, so I've left them out.

Janelas fechadas.

"Oh Minas Gerais..."
Parabéns!!

Good strong leading diagonals Angelo, and the colours work well too. Dramatic sky too. I think I may have cropped the left a bit tighter to remove the building and let the vegetation do the framing though. Good shot though!

Magnífica fotografia.
O contraste entre as côres das casa,do monte e do ceu, mais a flor do primeiro plano tornam o conjunto encantador.
Agradeço o seu comentário a "road".
Um abraço amigo.

Fantastic Angelo, Great composition leading the eye right down the street...very well done..love the colors. I was wondering 'where are all the people,' I just read your about, so much the better, love that dirt road...and the mountains are wonderful as is the sky, just an all around wonderful image...well done...:):)Linda

Maybe it's just my silly idealism but this looks like such a great place to live, maybe not all year, every year but as a second home. As long as there's a small town with a Brazilian Bar -be-que Restaurant that serves those drinks - caiperinie's (I know I spelled that all wrong - Ice, sugar, and that rum like alcohol from the amazon) Wonderful work and composition on this shot Angelo - I'm ready to move - Looks great ! I'm packing my things, Mark

Gorgeous capture. I like the vivid colours of the buildings, although I would've probably cropped out the left hand edge.

Mark, there is a nice little "pensao" where we had lunch. Wonderful Minas cuisine: rice, black beans, fried cassava, polenta, fried green... I'm vegetarian, but there was also some chicken and other nicely cooked meats.

Caipirinha is made with cachaça (strong alcoholic drink made from fermented then distilled sugar cane), ice and crushed limes (add some sugat to cut the bitterness of the lime). If you lack cachaça, you can always substitute with some vodka and call it "Kypyrowski" :)

They definitely make some excellent cachaça moonshine around these parts!

Hi Angelo,

seems to be a calm and peaceful environment ;-)

image quality is perfect. I'm just thinking about the lantern on the left, if it's necessary or not... does it help the image? Does the image need an additional border? I'm not quit sure =)

best wishes,

Thilo

It's good that you respected their wishes Angelo and as a result you have come away with a very sriking image. Very strong lines and strong foreground, just enough for us to want to see what is beyond and here you have given us a taste of the countryside.

Excellent capture ,what a beautiful setting for this little town, you have composed like a painting, superb colours
Many thanks for nice comment on "Painting by nature"
I'm aware that the effect here is a bit strong mainly in the upper part ,but a full gama of colours was achieved
Best regards

Very nice street view!! Very nice colors, good composition, great sky and landscape... well captured!!! I've only got one but: I would've cropped the shot more on the left side, to 'loose' that half pole/iron beam, because it doesn't add anything to this shot... IMHO... (you kind of 'bump' into it when you follow the diagonal/street that leads you through this shot (which is excellent) and distracts from the super view into the 'depth'....)
