About This was in a church. Very dark. I set ASA at 800 , 1/6 f 5.6 hand held and in RAW format. The original was so dark that I didn't even think that there was anything there. There is so much detail in aa RAW image that you can't see. The Nikor 24-120 Image stabilized lens is wonderful. You gain about 3 stops in shutter speed.

Looks like I'm not the only one with pretty steady hands, Don, even if the lense has a stabilizer. I like the shot. I have always loved the soft glow of candlelight. Nicely done.

Mark

thanks for your comments. they are always appreciated.

Great hand held shoot, I love these kind of images. It is unbelieveable how much info is in a very very dark Raw.. it really can be the difference. Of course IS lens is the first step to any hand held image
Very nice
Don

Never lite a candle before but I know when I go into missions to photograph I'm so humble and get a great feeling. Nice capture and photograph.

Candle light has something mystical about it doesn't it Don. You have certainly achieved an even exposure right across the image and the IS has worked perfectly for 1/6 sec hand held. I compliment you most highly for this image. I gotta get into RAW, just need to get the conversion software. Results like this give me the encouragement.
