About Subject background: Katz's Deli, a famous place for sure ;-) This is my little tribute for this great place, again captured with a hopefully weird 14 mm photo stunt. The lame title refers to a German idiom called "Cat and Mouse". Katz(e) means "Cat" in German. The idiom means: To play cat and mouse with. Don't ask me where the reference to Katz's Deli is =)

This one is for you, Kevin and Todd.

PS concept: some contrast enhancement layers (multiplies, saturation etc.). Not too much stuff this time, 5-10 minutes work.

A nicely captured piece of Americana, Thilo. With a very strange reference to some Germanic joke. I spent lots of time looking for the mouse! Thanks... :)

The wideangle features were put to very good use.

Maria Luisa Vial   {K:36017} 6/28/2005
I do not know much German (Just a few words), but from the title I knew what your were referring too... We have a similar idion here... So I think, it is kind of international... HEHEHHEHE

Love the angle... The extreme wide angle played a very important role here... :) Excellent composition... I asume you were almos at floor leve when taking it... Great work and it say Thilo Bayer all the way around...

Cheers,

MaLuisa

I love the color on this one - the thing I really like is how all the color (red) is on the right side - very nice - I love extreme wide angles - my shortest these days is a 20mm for my film Canons - K

cool shot Thilo! We have a Katz's here in Texas, they say it's just like a piece of NY here, but I'd never seen the NY one, til now. Great perspective!
