About A Pousada in Vargem Bonita.

A place where my frient Mark Julian Bastrzycki (http://www.usefilm.com/photographer/18663.html) could spend a few days, perhaps?

+++

PS: corrected perspective, cloned out an electricity wire, enhanced the wooden sign and boosted the shaded front of the guesthouse.

Beautiful Angelo... Excellent composition... Love how the bricks look... It seems that the wall needs a little painting?  Very rustic place? Would like to see the rooms first, before I make my decision to stay there? HEHEHEHHE

Well seen and excellent work my dear friend?

Cheers,

MaLuisa

Bela fachada colonial Angelo!
Qualquer hora quero sair aqui na cidade para fazer fachadas de construções coloniais, só tenho receio de sair com a camera na cidade... Aqui no Brasil é bravo dar mole a assaltantes..
Abraços!
Roberto.

Love this composition Angelo, and the repetition in the windows and the doors, very nice...I like the varying textures of the wall, the bricks, and the doors. The contrasting colors are wonderful, my favorite part, I think, is the hanging sign, really a nice touch to this already lovely image....very well done....:):)Linda

My mom would always insist on checking the bathrooms before we checked in anywhere...

:)

Maria Luisa Vial   {K:36017} 6/28/2005
That is the first thing I do too... If it is clean it's ok for me... :)

Cheers,

MaLuisa

I bet getting a good exposure was hard on a bright day. I like the strong shapes and bold colours.

A acolhedora simplicidade mineira... Belo trabalho. Uma divulgação caprichada... :-)
Parabéns!

Actually it was fairly straight forward to get the right exposure, Sally. The interesting part of the building was in shade and that's where I wanted the details, so I just put the camera in aperture priority, select f/8, compose, focus (auto) and shoot. Then check histogram, and since there were no blown highlights, shot's in the bag!

Hey thanks Angelo ! I'll take more than a few the way I'm feelin'. Love the look of this place. Great compo - like the way you tweaked it slightly........Let me call the shipping company, I'm there ! Mark

Many thanks Angelo for commenting on "Pleasant view 2"
Yes I agree with you that some cropping in the sky could help here
My best regards

Angelo Villaschi   {K:49617} 6/29/2005
Mark,

This is cowboy country. They drink their moonshine 50 proof cachaca neat...

Mark Julian   {K:35624} 6/30/2005
It'll take me a few years to build up to that (might have a hole in my stomach first though. Well, that's alright, just a bit of a trade off......)
