Hehehehehe, shame on you....:):) Wow Ned, this is great..excellent capture with perfect details, and focus..it almost looks like a surgical procedure going on there...a great find, and I like that your background is bland and out of focus calling all of the attention to your (clearing throat) (x-rated) hehehe....subject...very well done indeed...and a diagonal composition as well, excellent. In looking at it again it almost looks like the one in front is climbing a mountain..I can see the action, the mountain climbing action, that is...hehehehe....very very well done my dear friend...:):)Linda

:))
Linda .. I'm planing to go back to the same park where i took this pic to take some shots of the little dragonfly babies
The newly married couple must have a big family by now ;)

About the DOF .. I added 2 extension tubes (total of 53mm i think) to the lens at 300mm, that ensured a shallow DOF.

kind regards,
ned

Hehehehe, good idea..I saw that about the extension tubes, and it looks to me like you know exactly what you're doing. I haven't worked with them, but I'm impressed that you were able to get this shot in such detail using that method. Very well done...:):)Linda

Not sure this kind of copulation produces off-spring Ned. Seems more a recreational variation on procreation. :)

Amazing capture Ned, I was waiting for this one.

Fantastic work.

Best wishes,
Steve

ps I hope you had the adult flag checked lol

Ned Ali   {K:11901} 6/30/2005
Hi Ian,
You may be right. However, this kind of copulation, whether by accident or design, has a procreative function :))
well .. unless this guy can't overcome gravity ;)
regards,
ned

thank you Steve.
Sorry for the explicitness of this shot .. i couldn't make use of the dof here the way you did in yours, plus i looked for the ADULT checkbox but couldn't find it ;)
Kind regards,
ned
