nice composition, my suggestion to make it better is edit out that one white weed in foreground, I find it distracting, and maybe lighten up the barn just a tad more to bring out more details of the wood.

cheers,
nicole

wonderful dramaic contrast. Very nice B&W tones. I wish this nice contrast was in the color version as well.

Carsten,

I prefer this b&w version. The colour processed version is nice, but there is something about the luminosity of the grass in this one, as well as the textures on the barn walls, that really attracts me.

Excellent work Carsten. As an old B/W photografer I like very much this version.

Carsten, I love your style and the clouds you able to capture.. Living in Arizona we go months with "plain blue sky" very few clouds here... been 3-4 months since it rained.. Great image ( I like the color one the best).. always great to see your stuff

This works just as well in black and white as color. In fact I think that I like this the best. Great sky. don.

Barry Wakelin   {K:7838} 7/3/2005
Interesting subject very well composed and a strong sky but the softening and banding on the grass and wood are too strong for me. I assume this came about because you threw away all or most of the non-red channels thus leaving you with the equivalent of 2Mp per frame. Still, I prefer this one to the colour version as the building looks like it was dropped into place on that one, its surfaces appearing artificially lightened compared with the sky.

Superbly done, Carsten!
Another shot that's full of drama!
Best regards, Chris

Man...you're something else. I just wish I could go on a field trip with you and learn something. I suppose this means that I like it.
