Nice pan and scan capture, but it would've been nice to get the whole car, or else crop tighter on the driver to make a more deliberate shot of less than a whole car.
Also there are a huge number of photos available of F1 cars - just have a look at http://www.teemu.net/ or Sutton Images. I think if you want your photo to stand out, it needs to be something different, something creative - I really like your shot of WTC cars in the pits, it's a great grab shot with the second car going past. Of course, you have to be lucky and be in the right place at the right time ;)
