Oh my GOSH!
PErfect sky and sun and fortunately you had the trusty camera with! And with sun RAYS!!!
I've never gotten to photograph a sunset with light rays......never at the right spot at the right time.
Great capture, I love it.

Ha ha! Yes, it was exciting!
My heart was racing, as I was about 1/2 mile from where I wanted to be, and didn't know if I was going to lose it first.
And yes...because my 20D was at my side, I was ready for anything. ;)

hi, great viewpt. of a gorgeous sunset with cool rays,Paul...like the contrast with the ominous cloud cover...great DOF and color...i know the feeling of trying to get thru traffic so i can shoot the mountain when all aglow in pink from the setting sun at one spot which is unobstructed and the frustration of not getting there in time...regards,gayle

The rays are there...but I usually set my exposure value down to -1 and -2 which can emphasize the effect.
