Thanks for your comment on my pic.
the common name of this bird is Black- Necked Stilt. Their scientific name is Himantopus mexicanus and their common name in spanish is Ciguena Cuellinegro or Soldadito.
These guys love fresh water with soft muddy bottom in ponds and lagoons. They are very social.
The species that you have in Spain is different. Its scientific name is H. himantopus and is called the Common Stilt.
I hope this inforamtion helps.

Hi Yamil, thanks for the flower comments. I see you are a birder. They are excellent, all of them. Birds are hard to get sometimes. This shot has a wonderful reflection and excellent colour. That's a great combo you have with the 20D and the 400L. Keep the very nice work. Bird shots are always nice to look at. Regards.
