Hugo de Wolf   {K:185017} 7/5/2005
Hi Thilo, These vertical shots are fabulous.... Been to NYC only recently for the first time, and like Hong Kong, the overwhelming heigth of those buildings are fascinating. What I like here is the symmetry in combination with the reflection. Great shot; even the rather centered composition is an excellent choice.... Almost gives me a rush of inverted vertigo...;)

Cheer,s

Hugo

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 7/5/2005
Hi Hugo,

thanks a lot for the indepth comment. I did some tests with different croppings but ended with the original picture despite the centered outcome. =) My feeling is that that the centering here is fine because of the whole scenery.

Taxi is coming for the airport =)

Thilo

Wonderful blues. Scan is a little marginal but the choice of using your wide-angle with a full frame 35 mm was a good idea here.

WOW!! How on earth did you get to photograph this one? I know New York is busy with zillions of cars, and this looks as though you had to be practically lying down in the street!!!

Wonderful photograph, lined up perfectly
