About Male Anna hummingbirds have a red head that changes as the light hits it. For display when they drop their head it has a day-glow or black-light look. In other lighting the red disappears.

I do all hand held shots, they move about, not staying more then a second in one spot. The hardest part is their moving in and out of focus as they can fly fowards, backwards, and sideways of course up and down to further complicate the shot.I get as close as 9ft and as far as 25-30ft away.-Rich

This little female is Queenie she is the other actor.
