What a beautiful moment...the mist in the distance and the dynamics of the boat angles make for an excellent composition. Maybe a little more detail in the boat on the right? What made you convert to BW?

Hmm, I guess you're right, the boat's details on the right needs to be uplifted.
I convert it into BW using channel mixer in PS. Toning use Color Balance feature. Here I attach the original photo.

Stunning Hanggan. Glad you posted another canoe. It is said the maori came to New Zealand in such boats from your side of the pacific (further North I think). The genetic evidence places them more as beginning the migration a few thousand years ago, and it reminds me of that to see this.
