I can tell you abouty my technique...but I'm not sure it will be of any help.
I work in Paint Shop Pro 8 or 9. I'm working in 2 layers... always...and adding effects and different pencilbrushes to each of them. I work as if it was a painting... stop...hopefylly, when it's not too late!! )
To work this way is half technique..and half 'feelings'...or 'gefühl' as they would say in German.
