This is a beautiful macro, Laurie - such subtle and understated colors! You can acually make out the little 'cells' in the wings! A wonderful and unusual find!

Yes, I am finally getting the hang of the lens. I still have dof issues on some shots, but it's getting a lot better. I guess it just takes practice, practice, and more practice! :)

Gosh Laurie I'm sorry I almost missed this one too...forgive me..I'm checking out all of your lenses...getting ready to order my new camera, and I saw this...This is gorgeous..wonderful detail, love the way you cropped it...excellent detail exactly where you need it..love seeing the face and the fur, and the antennae....wonderful dof....yes, dof with macros is always different and very very difficult to achieve sometimes.... as I'm sure you know..let me know if you find the key...it changes with the plane...should I get this lens too...well done Laurie....:):)Linda

Thanks Linda! I am very glad that I got this lens, even though I was frustrated to no end when I first used it. I think the key to this lens is just not getting too close.
