About This is the Shetland Sheepdog (Kuu Chan) who is my friend and companion on morning walks. The quizzical look is because the camera rarely points in his direction...

And being such a handsome beast, perhaps he is wondering why the camera is not pointed n his direction more :) excellent - lovely expression captured

Huge AAh factor here, Kuu Chan?? A Japanese Shetland!! First our Whisky now our dogs, what next, McHonda kilts???
Lovely shot every hair sharp.

Roger Williams   {K:83282} 7/8/2005
John, you can see why I already like this lens for portraits! The sharpness is actually confined to the head... look at the gentle OOF regions of the body. As for kilts, I am afraid you are stuck with those. Most self-respecting Japanese men would not be seen dead in them. Although I must admit the Yokohama bagpipe marching band members wear them. Now there's an image for you--Japanese bagpipes! Think I have a photo of this somewhere...

John E Robertson   {K:1669} 7/8/2005
I'll forego the pleasure of the Yokohama pipers!!
I can't even stand the sound here in Scotland, the thought of sukiyaki played on them makes me shudder!!

Kuu Chan is a natural in front of the camera. Beautiful dog. Is this the Tamron with the macro? That's a nice lens. Roger, Thank you for your comments & suggestions on my surf picture.

sweet :)

Super shot of this fine looking doggy, Roger.
Very natural colours, as ever, as excellent detail.
Looks like a good buy, that Tamron!
Best regards, Chris

Roger Williams   {K:83282} 7/8/2005
Thanks, Chris. Welcome back... now even my most neglected shots can be sure of a comment! The Tamron had to go back for servicing, always a risk with old SH stuff. It's a great lens, though... and as you can see it doubles very nicely as a portrait lens.

Veeeeery cute! That look on the face is one in a million! Very beautiful canine portrait, dear Roger!Well, I can never have a dog, it is not allowed by the administration of the block.
How have you been, dear Friend? Nothing new today???
Best regards,
Gabriela

Roger Williams   {K:83282} 10/27/2005
Hi, Gabriela. Thank you for visiting our beautiful dog! I'm fine but too busy with work to have time to take photographs and upload them. I hope to start again soon.

Kay McIntire   {K:11787} 11/3/2005
wow- beautiful photo of your sweet dog, Roger! I bet he keeps you busy most of the time- I appreciate your comments on my dog photo "Now What?". My blue heeler does also try to herd people and even cats- not much success with the cats- even though he out weighs them by a bunch, he always backs out when the claws come out!We also have 2 donkeys (just pets) that he thinks need rounding up- but...donkeys just don't take kindly to being herded! Thank goodness for the cows in the next pasture!
