About Words by Ken Livingstone, mayor of London:

"This was not a terrorist attack against the mighty and the powerful. It was not aimed at Presidents or Prime Ministers. It was aimed at ordinary, working-class Londoners, black and white, Muslim and Christian, Hindu and Jew, young and old. It was an indiscriminate attempt to slaughter, irrespective of any considerations for age, for class, for religion, or whatever. [...] They seek to divide Londoners. They seek to turn Londoners against each other. [...] Londoners will not be divided by this cowardly attack. They will stand together in solidarity alongside those who have been injured and those who have been bereaved and that is why I'm proud to be the mayor of that city."

I think the colours are too vibrant for the effect i think you are trying to create however you are well and trully inti trying to make photographs which can only be a good thing.

Thanks, Danny. These last three have been sitting on my hard drive for a while. The events of Thursday prompted me to interrupt my series of pics from Brasil.

I thought this one conveyed the thought that we will not, must not, let this violence change our way of being, we must and will carry on with life as normally as possible.

Yes you are probably correct Angelo and we ..no I must learn not to pre judge or assume that I know what people are thinking by what I see on a screen. It all stems from me trying to be clever and write a meaningful critique.

Regards
Danny

Strong image for the latest happenings in London.
I loved the effect and colours here Angelo, it?s like the vision of the people in despair, running from the subways... We can not even imagine shuch terror...
Excellent words from the Mayor.
Peace for all...

Hugs,
Márcia

The result came out very nice Angelo, specially the yellow prints that shows,
Nice experience in here,
The clarity is amazing, but of course it is f2 :)

....the shock is going away slowly - now comes the reality of the situation......

Angelo Villaschi   {K:49617} 7/10/2005
Danny, I have always found your critiques insightful and helpful. At the very least, they help me think again about the picture and perhaps explain some parts a bit better.

Keep it up. Please!

love it
love all people
love life... fear & hatred is tearing the world to shreds, limb by bloody limb..
love is
love can
love will
10/10 my heart as a human goes out to all the people who lost thier lives and to the families.. to all the people who were maimed.. but in our blind anger we must never strike with closed eyes.. violence is not the answer, i dont know what is, all i can think of is love..
Greg
